During the product tour, you showed us the new plan status options and as I recall you have "in progress", "in review", and "complete." Could you add back the "due for review" status or maybe you just didn't mention it?
These modifications are really a first iteration to improve the functionality. We'll definitely do something that meets that need. One of the complaints I've heard several times about the old system is that the automated triggering for 'due' wasn't always accurate. We'd like to give you more control of that, so admins can determine the labels for status, as well as control events that trigger notifications or status changes.
Right now I'm going to take a look to see how hard it would be to add the due/overdue as a manual function. I think we might need that for migration.
